The thermostat’s set at 21°C, but some people are still feeling uncomfortable. Sounds familiar? That’s because thermal comfort isn’t just about the temperature displayed on the wall. A thermostat measures air temperature, not body warmth. Hidden factors like human physiology, humidity levels, cold surfaces and air leakage can mean that someone feels cold even when the thermostat says otherwise.

Remote Control Timer
The hand-held remote controller has 5 time settings; 0.5,1,2,4 and 8 hours. After the selected time, the unit automatically switches off, eliminating unnecessary energy use outside normal working hours. An OFF button can be used to override the setting at any time.
Low Running Cost
SoloZone is highly effective yet, at a cost of only 4p per hour to run, is a tiny 8% that of a 2kW fan heater. Plus, there’s no fire risk. Payback is matter of weeks not years.

SoloZone solves the problem by creating a safe microclimate that provides personal radiant heat just where it’s needed – warming surfaces not air – just like the gentle warmth of winter sunlight. There’s even a name for that feeling: apricity. Keeping legs and feet warm delivers the same comfort boost and counteracts the body’s natural reaction to restrict blood flow to the extremities when cold.
The Solution
SoloZone is an integrated package that comprises of a high efficiency radiant panel, that neatly fits under a desk, and a remote controller. The panel is of aluminium construction and weighs only 1.5 kg. It’s very quick and easy to install and all fixings are supplied. To mitigate the risk of mislaying the remote, it comes with a magnetic holder that can be fixed to the desk or any other suitable surface. Each remote is uniquely paired so there is no possibility of unwittingly activating another adjacent unit. There is no complicated programming to do as everything is pre-configured before despatch. Full installation instructions are provided.
Operation is simple. Just select the required time on the remote and press ON. The heater will automatically deactivate once the time has elapsed. If you want to interrupt the setting at any time, simply press the OFF button.
It fits to standard or adjustable desks but currently not those with a glass or metal worksurface.
